PANDA AAC Camp 2025

PANDA AAC Camp is organized by BC Association for Advancing Communications in collaboration with the University of British Columbia Edith Lando Virtual Learning Centre

PANDA (Promoting and Advancing) AAC Camp is designed specifically for children with disabilities whose primary mode of communication is AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
Our goal is to improve AAC education, communication, and literacy through training and collaborative learning with students, families, and educators. We support and encourage hands-on application for speech-generating devices.
PANDA AAC Camp 2025 was amazing!

Connect
Campers and leaders used their speech-generating devices to communicate. It was a week of AAC immersion!
Parents attended workshops and made connections with other families.

Motivate
In the mornings, the campers participated in Lit Lab, Music Makers, and AACtion Zone. In the afternoons, we had different big group activities, including having outdoor play time, seeing Mike's Critters, going to the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, making art, and dancing with DANCEPL3Y!

Empower
We provided children who use speech-generating devices opportunities to build confidence and improve their communication and social skills. We celebrated all the achievements made. So proud of everyone!
