Sharon Chan
Sharon is a passionate leader in the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) field and believes that children of all abilities can acquire critical literacy skills. Sharon is committed to teaching and advocating for children with disabilities. She is a mother to three children, one of whom is an AAC device user and is able to read and write. She is also part of the Richmond Society for Community Living’s Supported Child Development Program (SCDP) Advisory Committee. Sharon has over 10 years of experience teaching in the specialized field of AAC and is skillful in applying technology to engage and empower her students in reaching their potential. Sharon has received numerous certificates in the AAC field. She hopes to share her strategies and knowledge with others to further AAC education and literacy for all students.
